Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her best-known role is Skyler White on her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series. Her other appearances comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student at Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her passion for performing on theatre. She was a theatre student at Northwestern University and spent a period in the British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago performing in stage roles for many years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in TV shows and films. Anna's first major role was Arden on Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. In addition, she played in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. In fact, it was only in the latter part of 1990 that she took on an acting role on The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. In 2022, Gunn was a part of a four-part audio-play podcast named "Numbered days". Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and their eventual break up echoes last years of Walter White's life.
